How an ask travels

Four stations, in order. Eligibility is asked in the form, not after a wait.

1

Set the number

The form opens on the amount. That is the first stitch.

2

Finish the questions here

The same form asks eligibility next. You do not wait on a call to start that part.

3

It travels the line

Lenders in our network who cover your state can take a look. They may check credit if they want the work.

4

You handle a reply

Read the terms. Keep them, ask about them, or let them go. Either way, beginning cost nothing.

On the form

What the questions usually cover

Eighteen or olderIncome coming inLives in the U.S., where offeredPhone and email that reach you

The form usually covers these. Clearing them is not a guarantee. Each lender in our network reads the ask on its own.

Why this line

Why people send it this way

A single ask. Lenders who want the work can take it up.

We do not hold the purse

Approval, funding, and the rate sit with the lender — never with this site.

One ask instead of a stack

You complete this once, rather than starting over on every lender's own site.

Looking costs nothing

Sending an ask does not bind you to whatever comes back.

Leaving is allowed

If nothing fits, you walk away. There is no penalty for that.

Questions people bring

Does the line run in my state?
Not everywhere. The Lending Policy page lists where this is currently offered.
Do I pay to send an ask?
No. Fees on an offer you take are the lender's, and they show them before you agree.
What range can I put on the ask?
$100 to $5000. A lender still decides whether they will write something in that band.
Does sending this touch my credit?
The ask by itself does not. A lender who takes it up may check your credit later.
Credit is uneven. Still worth sending?
Often. Lenders in our network do not all use the same bar. Sending an ask does not obligate you.

This service is not available in all states. If you request a loan in a particular state where such loans are prohibited, or in a location where Onyxlune does not have an available lender, you will not be connected to a lender. Our Lending Policy has current state availability. Rates & Fees explains how rates and terms actually work once you are matched with a lender. In some cases, you may be given the option of obtaining a loan from a tribal lender. Tribal lenders are subject to tribal and certain federal laws while being immune from state law including usury caps. If you are connected to a tribal lender, please understand that the tribal lender's rates and fees may be higher than state-licensed lenders. Additionally, tribal lenders may require you to agree to resolve any disputes in a tribal jurisdiction. You are urged to read and understand the terms of any loan offered by any lender, whether tribal or state-licensed, and to reject any particular loan offer that you cannot afford to repay or that includes terms that are not acceptable to you.

The purpose of shorter duration loans is to provide the borrower temporary financial relief. Such loans are not a long-term financial solution. Persons facing serious financial difficulties should consider other alternatives or should seek out professional financial advice.

Submitting a request is not a guarantee of being matched or approved.

By submitting your information via this website, you are authorizing Onyxlune and lenders in its network to do a credit check, which may include verifying your social security number, driver license number or other identification, and a review of your creditworthiness. Credit checks are usually performed by one of the major credit bureaus such as Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, but also may include alternative credit bureaus such as Teletrack, DP Bureau or others. You also authorize Onyxlune to share your information and credit history with a network of approved lenders. See Credit Authorization.

Lender's Disclosure of Terms. The lender you are connected to will provide documents that contain all fees and rate information pertaining to the loan being offered, including any potential fees for late-payments and the rules under which you may be allowed (if permitted by applicable law) to refinance, renew or rollover your loan. Loan fees and interest rates are determined solely by the lender based on the lender's internal policies, underwriting criteria and applicable law. Onyxlune has no knowledge of or control over the loan terms offered by a lender. You are urged to read and understand the terms of any loan offered by any lender, whether tribal or state-licensed, and to reject any particular loan offer that you cannot afford to repay or that includes terms that are not acceptable to you.

Late Payments Hurt Your Credit Score. Please be aware that missing a payment or making a late payment can negatively impact your credit score. To protect yourself and your credit history, make sure you only accept loan terms that you can afford to repay. If you cannot make a payment on time, you should contact your lender immediately and discuss how to handle late payments.
